Aby Coulibaly was born in Ireland’s capital city, Dublin, where she currently resides. Her parents’ constant playback of 90s R&B music inspired her love of music. Her mother was always playing the songs of Lauryn Hill, Boyz II Men, and Baby Face, while Reggae and Senegalese music were the two genres her father preferred most.
Although Coulibaly has been singing for a while, she didn’t begin writing her own music until she shared her first SoundCloud song, “on my own,” in 2018. According to her, the song was written while she was listening to a YouTube beat.
In the summer of 2019, she and her pals started creating music together, and finally they established their own indie record company, “Chamomile Records.”
Aby, Monjola, and their producer Moyo founded the label. She always has chamomile tea on hand when they are in the studio, and their record label took its cue from this.
On July 24th, 2020, she launched her debut song, “Taurus,” which has gained a sizable audience.
