Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman praised Qatar for hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022, which ended on Sunday, in a good manner.
According to the official Saudi Press Agency, in a cable sent to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, King Abdulaziz wrote: “We are pleased… to send to Your Highness our sincere congratulations and best wishes for further achievements” (SPA).
The King also expressed his wish for Qatar’s citizens’ prosperity.
The Crown Prince also emphasized the tournament’s effective management in a different cable.
“I am pleased to express to Your Highness my sincere congratulations and best wishes for further progress and for the brotherly people of the State of Qatar steady progress and prosperity,” he said.
The inaugural Middle Eastern nation to host the World Cup, which finished on Sunday with a match between Argentina and France, was Qatar. Celebrations were organized to mark the conclusion of the month-long football competition after Argentina won.
